Digital orthophotography (aerial photos corrected for elevation and airplane/camera distortions) comes in several flavors in Vermont. The Vermont Mapping Program has B/W photos with a nominal scale of 1:5000 (1" = 417') with 0.5 meter pixels. Also available are the USDA National Agricultural Imagery Program (NAIP) color 1-meter photos taken in August/September of 2003, 2008 and 2009. These are available through VCGI's image library individually or on flash media for statewide coverage.
